Care Ministry

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:34-35

We have a care ministry here at CBC where we check on those who have missed services and those who are unable to attend for what ever reason.

Often times someone is sick and could use some encouraging words and prayer. Other times someone has reached a point in their life where they just aren't able to get around like they used to and may not be able to attend corporate worship as often and sometimes not at all.

We have a group of people who go out on visitation to our "shut-ins" from time to time. We have several on our list and rotate going to visit with them. We always enjoy the talks we have with each one of them wishing they could return to our sunday fellowship. We talk for a while, laugh some, even sometimes cry and close our visit with prayer and words of encouragement.

God tells us that we are to build up our neighbors for their good (Romans 15:2). When we go out and visit our neighbors, we are building them up, encouraging them and often times putting a smile on their faces as well as bringing them great joy. We learn in Galatains 6:10 that whenever we have an opportunity, we are to work for the good of all and especially for those who belong to the household of faith. So I want to encourage you to check in on your neighbors and speak words of encouragement towards them.

If you know someone in our community (Corum) who would benefit from a visit, please let us know.
